The builds
Revive the Robot
A robot arrives with a note: “Worked Friday. Monday: turns left for ever.” Engineers who repair machines far away start with the symptom, because they often can’t touch the machine at all.

Make It Sense
Bats hunt in total darkness. Ships find the sea floor from the surface. Cars warn their drivers before a bumper touches a wall. All of them send out a sound and time the echo.

Make It Decide
Last year your robot found a chair leg by hitting it. A robot that works near people, pets or anything fragile can’t do that. It has to decide before it touches.

Drive to Distance
A delivery robot must stop at a counter, a forklift at a shelf, a car at a stop line. Too early and nobody can reach it; too late and something breaks. Stopping well is harder than it looks.

Four Senses at Once
A storeroom gets hot in the afternoon. A greenhouse gets too dark on cloudy days. A corridor gets blocked with boxes. People only find out when something has already gone wrong.

Who Wins
Two senses disagree. The ranger says the way is clear; the left bumper says something is touching. A human decides in an instant. A robot needs a rule for who wins.

Invent Your Robot
Somewhere near you a problem needs something that senses and decides: a crossing that needs a warning, a store that needs watching, a plant that needs checking. Someone lives with it every day.

Flagship and extras
The Autonomous Rover
Rovers explore places people can’t reach: the far side of a field, a collapsed building, the surface of Mars. Nobody steers them live. They see, decide and move on their own, and they report what they found.

The Safety Stop
A robot that works near people must stop before it hits one, however fast it was going, and it must stay stopped until a person says it is safe. Getting this wrong is how people get hurt.

Radar Scanner
A ship in fog, a car in a car park, a rescuer outside a dark room: each needs to know what is around them, in every direction, before they move.

Builds of the Week
Ranging Rebuild
Every sensor has a range where it can be trusted, and edges where it can’t. The people who use it need to know where those edges are.

Decision Rebuild
Engineers write down what a machine must do in every case before anyone writes code. A missing row in that table is a behaviour nobody planned.

Drive-to-Distance Rebuild
A lift must stop level with the floor, whether it is full or empty. Too high or too low and someone trips.

Multi-Sensor Rebuild
A storeroom robot must keep moving, but not into a hot corner by a boiler, and not into a dark room where people can’t see it coming.

Priority Rebuild
At a crossing, an emergency vehicle gets priority, then people on foot, then everyone else. The order is fixed, and it is checked many times a second.

The Level 4 Exit
Sense · Decide · Move · Stop. Every robot you will ever build or buy is those four words done well.
